Two persons were confirmed dead when a petrol-laden tanker exploded along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway in Lagos on Wednesday.

The ensuing inferno also saw many vehicles set ablaze in the early hours of Wednesday at Barracks Bus Stop, ojo.

The truck was heading to discharge at an undisclosed petrol station when it suddenly lost control, fell and spilled its contents launching an avalanche of inferno.

Firemen responded promptly and tried to minimise the damage caused by the raging fire.

A similar incident was recorded along the same road three weeks ago when another taker fell leaving thousands of commuters stranded.
