Appeal Court upholds election of Senator T A Orji

The Court of Appeal sitting in Owerri, the Imo State capital, today upheld the election of Senator Theodore Afamefula Orji, as the validly elected senator representing Abia Central.

Senator Orji was the immediate past governor of Abia State and the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] candidate in the said senatorial election.

 

After an intensive electoral legal battle, the Appeal Court upheld his victory over Chief Ahamdi Nweke of the All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA].

With this victory, Senator T.A Orji appears to be making history as a NIGERIAN politician with the most electoral legal victories.
