Nigerians has slammed the governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai over his shabby defence of his threat to kill foreign observers in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
Mallam El-Rufai had said on Nigeria Television Authority [NTA] that he will send foreign observers who meddle in the elections back to their countries in body bags, which means as corpses.
Furthermore, he tried to justify his speech by saying he was moved by patriotism.
He noted that foreign observers have no right to interfere beyond observing.
Reacting to the statement, Human Rights activist, Mrs. Aisha Yesufu, writing on her Twitter handle, said:
“Can someone please tell Nasir El Rufai to shut up! Just FREAKING shut up!
“You made a mistake. Apologise and move on! Stop digging yourself further in.”
