Latest report on the PDP Crisis say Sheriff has gained control of the party’s national secretariat.

Elombah.com had reported that the deposed opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chairman, Ali Modu-Sheriff stormed the party national secretariat this morning but was stopped by the security staff.

Sheriff and his National Working Committee (NEC) were sacked by the PDP at the party’s national convention held in Port Harcourt on May 21 and a national caretaker committee chosen to pilot the affairs of the party.

But Mr Sheriff has finally gained access to the national secretariat of the party as he told reporters at the secretariat that he was resuming duties based on a court order.

It was gathered that he left the secretariat and reportedly went to see the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase. He returned to the secretariat at around noon, but police officers insisted they would only allow him to enter the secretariat if his supporters dispersed from the area.
