The Governor Willie Obiano-led Anambra State government have imposed 3,000 naira “house numbering levy” on every building in the state.
This was indicated in a directory issued by the Anambra Signage and Advertising Agency [ANSAA] sighted by ElombahNews.
Reacting to the strange ANSAA levy by Governor Obiano, our correspondent, Mr. Odumodu Gbulagu opined that the levy is premised on the “undeniable fact that Anambra state coffers is now empty”.
He said that the “Willie’s Government is desperately looking for ways to raise money” haven exhausted all his borrowing avenues.
He recalled that recently, Obiano had ‘imposed a mandatory repainting fee for all the commercial buses and tricycle operators in Anambra state before the actual painting fee at designated government painting depots’.
He concluded by saying “Anambra is in ruins!”
