The record, achieved in collaboration with Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, has already drawn international recognition and widespread celebration.
Announcing the feat on X, Baci wrote, “New record: Largest serving of Nigerian style jollof rice – 8,780 kg achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”

Baci used a specially designed pot with a capacity of 22,619 litres, aiming to fill it to 80 per cent.
To achieve this, she employed approximately 5,278 kilograms of raw basmati rice, equivalent to 250–264 bags, carefully calculated to ensure precision.
Throughout the event, the atmosphere remained festive. Music, dancing, and live performances complemented the culinary display.
Nollywood actress Funke Akindele joined Baci on stage to stir the tomato base, while the First Lady of Ogun State, Bamidele Abiodun, also lent her support.
Other notable attendees included dancer Kaffy, Tomike Adeoye, Enioluwa, Peller, Veekee James, Femi Atere, Samuel Banks, Alex Unusual, Folagbade Banks, and Spyro.
Guinness World Records actively supported the attempt, sharing videos from the event and encouraging Baci to achieve the milestone.
