John Nwosu Hails Obi Of Onitsha On 2025 Ofala Festival

The Anambra State African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate, Mr. John Chuma Nwosu, has felicitated with Obi Of Onitsha and Chairman of South East Traditional Rulers Council, His Majesty, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, Agbogidi, at his 2025 Ofala Festival.

Mr. Nwosu made the felicitations in a goodwill message he personally signed and made available to Diaspora Digital Media (DDM).

Ofala festival as a symbol of Igbo culture

Nwosu noted that the Ofala festival is a proud Igbo symbol of cultural continuity, unity, and progress.

He also lauded Agbogidi for his wisdom, dignity, and fatherly guidance, which he prayed will continue to strengthen traditional institutions in the region.

He wrote: “On behalf of my family, my campaign organization, and the entire African Democratic Congress (ADC) family in Anambra State, I extend my warmest felicitations to you and the good people of Onitsha on the joyous celebration of your 2025 Traditional Ofala Festival.

“The Ofala remains a proud symbol of cultural continuity, unity, and progress — values Your Majesty has steadfastly upheld through your reign as Obi of Onitsha and your esteemed leadership as Chairman, South East Traditional Rulers Council.

“This years Ofala theme, “Njikò na Ntáchi (Unity and Perseverance)”, is particularly poignant in our present national environment.

“Your Majesty’s exemplary leadership embodies the very essence of these values.”

Obi of Onitsha preserving Igbo heritage

John Nwosu further expressed admiration for the stabilizing role the Obi of Onitsha plays in preserving Igbo heritage and promoting peace and good governance.

He added: “As someone who holds tremendous respect for our traditional institutions, I deeply admire the stabilizing role they play in preserving our heritage and promoting peace and good governance.

“I salute you and all those who stlflessly promote and protect the Igbo culture and heritage.

“As Onitsha Kingdom celebrates this year’s Ofala, may God Almighty bless you with long life, sound health, and continued divine wisdom to guide your people and the South East at large.”
