10 things to note before you join Sowore on his cabal funded political campaign

Tomorrow, the 20th of October, Sowore and a group of IPOB funded lawyers and lobbyists shall, in defiance of a subsisting court order, attempt to embark on a protest, touted to be in favour of the detained terrorist leader, Nnamdi Kanu, but which in reality is targeted at trying to embarrass the Tinubu administration, and if possible achieve a regime change.

I know that in situations like this, it is the innocent and ignorant who easily fall victim to what they do know little about, hence, my decision to remind you of the following key points and leave you to decide if you really want to embark on the protest.

1. As against their narratives, Nnamdi Kanu is not a political prisoner but a suspected terrorist whose evidence of terrorist activities have been presented in court, and who has been offered an opportunity to discredit those evidence.

2. Nnamdi Kanu is not being illegally detained, but legally undergoing trial, as ordered by the Supreme Court of Nigeria. The substantive judgement on Nnamdi Kanu is that he should be tried, and any thing otherwise is deliberate falsehood aimed at inciting you to break the law and potentially upend your life.

3. The Police shall be acting within the law by arresting those who go against a substantive court order to protest in areas where the court has ordered that protests should not be held.

4. When you want to be encouraged by Sowore’s promise of mobilising 155 lawyers to protect you, remember that there are more than 1000 lawyers who are defending EndSars protestors, but many of them are still languishing in prisons and different detention centres.

5. Sowore is a very notable citizen, no matter how you view him, and the troubles he will go through will be a lot less compared to what you might be put through in the hands of the law.

6. There are indications that millions of dollars have been expended in trying to mobilise for this protest. These monies are in the hands of those who shall use you as human shields to advance their personal and political interests.

7. This protest is not genuinely about Nnamdi Kanu, but about regime change and part of opposition gimmicks to discredit the Tinubu administration. You will not be there when the big men will resolve their differences and dine on the same table.

8. Key figures in the subsidy and forex cabals who held Nigeria by the jugular for many decades before Tinubu had the courage to pull the plugs are allegedly using this opportunity to fight back against the Tinubu administration by funding both the media and human mobilisation for this protest. Ask yourself, if you would want to be used.

9. Nnamdi Kanu will not be released through protests. He can only be released either by the courts or through a political solution. This political solution will only come after the court processes have been exhausted. Actions like the one being spearheaded by Sowore endanger any chances of a political solution.

10. To put it more clearly; you could lose your life, you could be imprisoned and your job or business could be negatively impacted by your participation in this protest, and it will not be worth it.

USE YOUR BRAIN.
