Kano State is mourning the loss of two lawmakers, Hon. Aminu Saad Ungogo and Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji, who represented Ungogo Constituency and Kano Municipal Constituency, respectively.
They passed away on Wednesday, just hours apart.
The news was announced by Ibrahim Adam, Special Adviser to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Director of Media at the Kano Government House.
Ungogo’s death was attributed to a brief illness, and he will be buried in his hometown, Ungoggo, Kano.
Details surrounding Daneji’s death are still unclear.
The state assembly and government officials have expressed condolences, describing the loss as a significant blow.
