I am deeply passionate about education. I bring the same energy and passion to Kashim Ibrahim University that I have for my own university and the University of Nigeria. I will not be a figurehead Chancellor; I want to add value.

Assign me a task, and I will deliver,” Oba Ogunwusi stated.
The Ooni further elaborated on the historical connection between the Ife and Borno kingdoms, recalling that both were never overtaken by external forces, including the Uthman Dan Fodio movement, which helped shape their unique histories.
The appointment has been hailed as a significant step in the university’s evolution, as it prepares to graduate its first set of students under its new name, Kashim Ibrahim University.
