Israel has warned Iran that it could face tougher and more aggressive strikes if it refuses a US-backed proposal aimed at curbing its nuclear ambitions.
Speaking on Thursday, Israel’s defence minister said Tehran is at a turning point it can either step away from what he described as “terror and nuclear weapons” in line with the US proposal, or risk a deeper escalation.
He made it clear that rejecting the offer would come at a cost.
According to him, if Iran chooses not to comply, Israel is prepared to expand its military actions and hit targets even more severe than those already attacked.
The warning adds to growing tensions in the region, as pressure mounts on Iran to respond to the US proposal while the threat of further conflict continues to loom.
