ORON, AKWA IBOM STATE – The Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, has achieved international recognition following its successful attainment of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 21001:2025 certifications, marking a significant milestone in its institutional development.

The certifications are seen as a major endorsement of the academy’s commitment to excellence in quality management systems and educational service delivery within Nigeria’s maritime training sector.

Global Quality Recognition

The ISO 9001:2015 certification is widely recognised as an international standard for quality management systems, focusing on consistent service delivery, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

The ISO 21001:2025 certification, on the other hand, is specifically designed for educational organisations, ensuring that institutions meet global best practices in teaching, learning, and stakeholder satisfaction.
