A Northern media personality based in Finland, AJ Bayero, has shared his perspective on the political prospects of former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a statement that has sparked conversations online, Bayero argued that Obi may struggle to secure victory if he does not gain the confidence of voters in Northern Nigeria.

“Peter Obi will not win in 2027, and I’ll tell you why. If Obi wants to become president in 2027, then he has to convince us Northerners that we’re part of his vision. He has to earn the trust of Northerners because, right now, he doesn’t have it,” he said.
