LAGOS, Nigeria — The Zion Prayer Movement Outreach has declared that believers participating in its ongoing 100 Days Fasting and Prayer programme will recover lost rights, blessings and opportunities, as the ministry’s Day 88 programme focused on overcoming situations in which people may have experienced loss, setbacks or diverted opportunities.
The message, delivered under the theme, “You Shall Not Lose Your Right and Blessings,” was based on passages from the Book of Genesis, particularly Genesis 25:27-34 and Genesis 27:18-37. The ministry used the biblical experiences of Esau and Jacob to illustrate the consequences of surrendering one’s rights and the possibility of losing expected blessings through manipulation or difficult circumstances.
According to the teaching, believers should remain conscious of their rights, opportunities and blessings and should not willingly surrender them because of temporary challenges. The ministry described the biblical account of Esau, who exchanged his birthright with Jacob for food when he was hungry, as an example of how immediate circumstances can influence decisions with lasting consequences.
The message explained that Esau, after returning from the field exhausted and hungry, accepted Jacob’s demand that he surrender his birthright in exchange for a meal. The ministry said the account demonstrated the importance of protecting valuable possessions and privileges rather than sacrificing them because of temporary hardship.
The teaching also examined the later account involving Isaac, Esau and Jacob. According to the biblical narrative cited by the ministry, Isaac intended to bless Esau, his first son, after asking him to prepare food from a hunting expedition. However, Rebecca, having heard the instruction, reportedly helped Jacob present himself before his father as Esau, resulting in Isaac giving Jacob the blessing intended for his elder son.
The ministry said the episode demonstrated the emotional and spiritual consequences that can follow when an individual’s expected opportunities or blessings are diverted. It therefore encouraged participants in the prayer programme to seek divine intervention against circumstances that may have caused them to lose opportunities, relationships, positions of honour or other benefits.
The teaching further declared that participants who had experienced setbacks would receive restoration and recovery. It also prayed that broken relationships would be repaired and that previously lost opportunities would return with greater impact.
The ministry’s message included prayers seeking protection against the manipulation, exchange, frustration or diversion of blessings. Participants were also encouraged to pray against forces allegedly occupying positions of honour meant for them and to seek what the ministry described as divine intervention in reclaiming their possessions.
One of the prayer points asked God to prevent the manipulation or diversion of the participants’ blessings, while another sought the removal of anything standing in the way of their advancement and possession of what they believe belongs to them.
Additional prayers focused on ending what participants perceive as spiritual or physical obstacles to their progress and restoring relationships and opportunities that may have been damaged.
The programme also called on participants to pray for the ministry’s Spiritual Director, Evangelist Chukwuebuka Anozie Obi, and the Zion Prayer Movement Outreach.
The Day 88 programme forms part of the ministry’s 100 Days Fasting and Prayer 2026 initiative, themed “Miraculous Take-Over.” The ministry said the central message of the programme is to encourage participants to maintain faith, seek divine intervention and expect positive changes in areas of their lives affected by hardship, loss or uncertainty.
