A provisions seller in Asaba, Delta State, has reportedly been left frightened after checking CCTV footage from her shop and allegedly seeing her neighbour sprinkling an unidentified substance in front of the premises around midnight.
The incident was shared on X by user @ChuksEricE, who said the woman became concerned after discovering what she described as suspicious activity outside her shop.
According to the account, the trader had earlier noticed that the neighbour, with whom she reportedly had a strained relationship, was recording her with a mobile phone.
Hours later, after returning home, the woman reportedly reviewed footage captured by the CCTV camera installed at her shop.
The footage allegedly showed the same neighbour arriving in front of the shop during the night and sprinkling an unknown substance around the premises.
The discovery reportedly left the trader frightened and raised questions about the purpose of the substance and why it was allegedly placed outside her business at that time of night.
However, there is currently no verified evidence establishing what the substance was, what the neighbour intended to do, or whether the act was connected to any crime.
The identities of the two women and the circumstances surrounding their reported disagreement have also not been independently established.
The incident has nevertheless generated concern online, with social media users reacting to the CCTV claim and calling for the matter to be properly investigated rather than relying on speculation about the substance or the neighbour’s intentions.
As the video and account continue to circulate, questions remain over what exactly was sprinkled outside the shop and what prompted the alleged late-night activity.
