  • Ensure security for di African continent by promoting a collective defence system through bilateral, sub-regional and continental co-operation to ward off external aggression and to attain di African objective of di national foreign policy.
  • Contribute towards peace and stability for di world as a whole through di United Nations, African Union (AU) and Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
