Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu has said she is recovering from surgery after experiencing unexpected complications.
In a video shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday, Nwosu was seen lying on a hospital bed as she addressed the public about her health.
In a statement issued by her management team, Ngozi said she is yet to return to her usual self but decided to thank those who supported her during her health crisis.
The statement recalled that over three months ago, many people showed up with love, prayers, and support when she needed it most, adding that the family remains grateful for everyone who gave, shared her story, sent a message, or kept her in their prayers.
“Over three months ago, so many of you showed up with love, prayers, and support when she needed it most,” the statement reads.
“We are still incredibly grateful for every single person who gave, shared her story, sent a message, or kept her in their prayers.”
It noted that since then, she has undergone one surgery, but her recovery journey has come with some unexpected complications.

While she is still healing and not quite back to herself yet, she felt it was important to come before you personally, say thank you, and let you know how things have been,” the statement added.
“It has been a journey, and we are taking it one day at a time, trusting God for complete healing and strength for the days ahead.
“To everyone who has stood by her in one way or another, thank you. Your kindness has made a difference in ways words cannot fully express.
“As she continues on this journey, we kindly ask that you keep her in your thoughts and prayers. And for those who may still wish to support her along the way, every little gesture of kindness remains deeply appreciated.”
The statement follows Nwosu’s appeal for financial assistance in July, when she revealed that she had been hospitalised and needed N30 million for three surgeries to treat an undisclosed ailment.
Her plea drew a significant response from Alex Otti, Abia governor, who fulfilled a pledge to support the actress by paying N25 million directly to the hospital where she is currently receiving treatment.
In 2012, she had also appealed for N6 million to address kidney and heart-related ailments.
