Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane will lead Al Nassr’s attack against Al Khaleej as Ange Postecoglou makes three changes to his starting lineup for Thursday’s Saudi Pro League encounter.

Al Nassr welcome Al Khaleej with the objective of collecting three points and maintaining pressure on league leaders Al Hilal as the title race intensifies.

The Riyadh based club head into the fixture following a 3-1 victory over Al Faisaly and will be looking to build on that result with another strong performance.

Ronaldo spearheads the attack alongside Senegal international Mane, while Portugal’s Joao Felix and Abdullah Al Hamdan provide additional attacking support in a lineup designed to offer a combination of creativity, movement and goalscoring threat.

The presence of Ronaldo and Mane gives Al Nassr two experienced forwards capable of troubling opposition defences, while Felix is expected to contribute to the team’s attacking combinations and create opportunities in the final third.

Postecoglou has made three changes to the team that started the previous match against Al Faisaly. Angelo Gabriel replaces Samu Costa, Ayman Yahya comes in for Awad Aman, and Mohamed Simakan takes the place of Abdulelah Al Amri.

The adjustments provide fresh options as Al Nassr seek to maintain their momentum and avoid dropping points against an opponent positioned in the middle of the standings.

Brazilian goalkeeper Bento Matheus retains his place between the posts, with Nawaf Boushal, Simakan, Inigo Martinez and Yahya forming the defensive line.

In midfield, Abdullah Al Khaibari partners Angelo Gabriel, while Al Hamdan and Felix offer further support in the team’s attacking structure.

Ronaldo and Mane complete the starting XI, with the pair expected to carry much of Al Nassr’s goalscoring responsibility.

Al Nassr entered the fixture in second place with 25 points from 10 matches, according to the figures provided in the original report. Their record of eight victories, one draw and one defeat underlines their strong start to the campaign.

However, the points available against Al Khaleej could prove important in their pursuit of Al Hilal, with any dropped points potentially affecting their position in the title race.

Al Khaleej, meanwhile, sit 10th with 12 points from 10 matches. Their record of three wins, three draws and four defeats places them below the leading contenders, but they will have an opportunity to test themselves against one of the league’s strongest attacking sides.

The visitors will need to remain organised defensively and limit the space available to Ronaldo, Mane and Felix if they are to frustrate their hosts.

For Al Nassr, the challenge will be to turn their attacking quality into an efficient performance while maintaining defensive concentration throughout the encounter.

Ronaldo’s presence is expected to attract considerable attention, given his continued importance to Al Nassr’s ambitions. The Portuguese forward remains a central figure in the club’s pursuit of domestic honours, while Mane’s pace and direct running provide another dimension to their attacking play.

Felix could also prove influential through his ability to link midfield with attack and create openings for the two forwards.

With Postecoglou making three changes following the victory over Al Faisaly, Al Nassr will hope the revised lineup delivers another positive result and keeps them firmly involved in the Saudi Pro League title race.
