Nigerian relationship influencer Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has broken down in tears in an emotional video, publicly apologising to people she may have hurt through her words and actions while appealing for forgiveness and prayers.

The social media personality shared the video on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, showing herself crying inside a parked car. She explained that she had left the house because she did not want her mother to see her in that condition.

Describing herself as confused, broken and emotionally exhausted, Blessing admitted that she had previously spoken carelessly about people’s pain without understanding what they were experiencing.

“The only thing I see now is darkness. People can go ahead and mock me for my mistakes. I’m so sorry for speaking about people’s pain when I knew nothing about what they were going through. I’m sorry to everyone I have hurt with my words and actions. I’m only realising now that talk is cheap,” she said.

She acknowledged that apologies alone might not be enough to repair the damage caused by her previous statements, adding that actions would be necessary to demonstrate genuine change.

Blessing also appealed to Nigerians to pray for her, saying she felt overwhelmed and was struggling to find her way through the difficulties confronting her.

The video comes after the death of her nine-year-old son, Bryan, who died on June 8, 2026, while she was being held at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos over separate fraud allegations.

According to reports, the boy suffered from chronic asthma and had experienced recurring health challenges. Blessing was unable to be with him before his death because she was in custody at the time.

Since regaining her freedom on bail in late October, she has spoken about the emotional impact of losing her child and the pain of missing his final moments.

In the latest video, she directly addressed Bryan, whom she affectionately called “Dum Dum”, expressing how much she missed him and promising to correct her past mistakes in a way that would make him proud.

She also spoke about the grief affecting other members of the family, including her mother and the boy’s brother. According to her, she and her mother sometimes hide from each other to cry privately because of the loss.

Blessing’s apology has also revived conversations surrounding her previous involvement in the controversy following the death of Bimbo Ogbonna, the late wife of businessman IVD, with whom Blessing is currently associated.

During the controversy surrounding Bimbo’s death in October 2023, Blessing made public statements defending IVD and commenting on the deceased and her family. Those remarks attracted considerable criticism, with some people accusing her of being insensitive towards Bimbo’s suffering and the circumstances surrounding her death.

Nollywood actress Sarah Martins reacted to Blessing’s latest apology by urging her to seek forgiveness from Bimbo’s family, particularly emphasising that public expressions of regret should be accompanied by accountability for specific harm caused.

Sarah’s response added another dimension to the public discussion, as Nigerians debated whether Blessing’s emotional appeal should be viewed as an opportunity for reconciliation or whether more direct efforts to address previous controversies were necessary.

Her fiancé, IVD, also published a separate apology addressed to his family, friends and business associates. In the statement, he referred to five years of personal struggles and asked for God’s mercy and forgiveness for the people he may have hurt.

The two apologies have generated considerable attention online, with reactions ranging from sympathy and prayers to scepticism and calls for accountability.

For now, Blessing has expressed a desire to retrace her steps, make amends and rebuild relationships with people she believes she has hurt. Whether that appeal will lead to reconciliation remains to be seen, but her latest video has brought renewed attention to her personal struggles, the loss of her son and the controversies that have followed her public life.
