Senate Blows Hot Against NLNG, Int’l Oil Companies

The Senate gave NLNG one week to provide evidences of taxes and dividends… it gave IOCs 1 week to submit report on gas flaring and level of environmental impact on Niger Delta.

The Senate has, on Thursday, given the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) one week to provide evidences of taxes and dividends paid since the end of the company’s tax holiday.

Also, it gave International Oil Companies (IOCs) one week to submit report on gas flaring and level of environmental impact assessment of Niger Delta region.

In another related development, the federal lawmakers revealed  that recent attack on major oil pipelines in Warri area of Delta by suspected Niger Delta Militants has caused colossal damages to the National Integrated Power Projected (NIPP) resulting into loss about 1000 megawatts of electricity generated by Gas.
