President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin talk on the phone on how to end Ukraine war

President Donald Trump on Monday, March 3, 2025, assured that President Putin of Russia wants peace.

This is amidst growing reports of continued attacks on Ukrainians.

The home of renowned Ukranian journalist, Tetyana Kulyk and her husband Pavlo Ivanchov was hit by Russian drone, Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

CNN.com reports that all that could be recovered when emergency workers visited the home were their charred bodies.

Kulyk’s husband, Ivanchov, was a surgeon and university professor.

Both were killed when the drone hit their home just north of Kyiv.

Neighbors had told Ukraine’s public broadcaster Suspilne that they heard screams and tried to enter the burning home through the garage.

Upon entry, they only got to discover the whole house had turned into an impassable inferno.

With all the exchange of words between Trump and Zelensky still fresh in so many minds, Moscow is allegedly still launching deadly attacks against Ukraine everyday.

Reports say that Kulyk and Ivanchov are just two of the more than 75 Ukrainian civilians who have been killed by Russia since Trump’s said “highly productive” phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin less than three weeks ago.

Trump said that he was convinced that their “long and hard” conversation showed that the Russian leader wants to end the war.

Ukranian President, Zelensky on Monday, reiterated his stand on continued Russian attacks on Ukraine, pointing out that Russia had continued to strike civilian targets over the past week.

In a statement, Zeleensky was quoted to have said, “Those who seek negotiations do not deliberately strike civilians with ballistic missiles.

“To force Russia to stop its attacks, we need greater collective strength from the world.

“Ukraine is fighting for the normal and safe life it deserves, for a just and reliable peace.

“We want this war to end. But Russia does not, and it continues its aerial terror,” he added.

Ukranian Airforce reports say that Russia has launched more than 3,000 drones and at least 35 missiles at Ukraine since the phone call.

A CNN count, based on statements from Ukranian officials, reveals that more than 75 civilians have been killed, and nearly 300 others, including many children, have been injured.

But Russia has consistently denied targeting civilian infrastructure, despite the ample evidence, and has pointed to the deaths on its own territory from Ukrainian attacks.
