Federal legislator, Patrick Umoh, appreciates NDDC for road project

Hon. Barr. Patrick Umoh, member representing Ikot Ekpene/ Essien Udim/ Oruk Anam Federal Constituency in Nigeria’s House of Representatives, has appreciated interventionist agency, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), for including the Urua Edet Obo Road in Obot Akara Local Government Area in its 2025 budget.
Speaking on Monday while addressing Akwa Ibom State representative in the NDDC Governing Board, Apostle Abasiandikan Nkono, and his constituents, during the commissioning of a skills’ acquisition center attracted to the area by his office, the legislator acknowledged that the Commission has demonstrated its passion to fasttrack development in the nooks and crannies of the Niger Delta region.
“Let me use this opportunity to convey the appreciation of my constituents to the NDDC via the state representative in the Commission’s Governing Board, Apostle Abasiandikan Nkono. This is a fulfillment of the Commision’s mandate of ensuring that development trickles down to the grassroots.”
The announcement of the proposed project attracted cheers from members of the community.
Apostle Nkono, on his part, congratulated the MP’s constituents on the ultra-modern skills acquisition center, enjoining them to make judicious use of services to be rendered there.
He also promised them NDDC’s commitment to bringing the project to fruition.
Also on Monday, the legislator commissioned a village hall at Ikot Mboho community, also in Obot Akara LGA.
The ceremonies were attended by dignitaries including business mogul, Envoy Nsentip Akpabio; APC State Chairman, Obong Stephen Ntukekpo, Engr. Charles Usua of the Cross River Basin Development Authority (CRBDA); traditional rulers, and constituents.
