Elon Musk appeared beside Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Friday.

He stood with folded arms and a visible bruise.

Musk later explained the bruise came from playing with his son, X, Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathers.

His presence symbolized both physical and political bruising from Washington.

Musk abruptly announced his departure from government reform efforts in D.C.

He cited federal bureaucracy as the main obstacle to real change.

“I thought there were problems, but it’s much worse,” Musk admitted.

He said his reform goals were blocked by deep systemic inertia.

Trump offered Musk a more generous farewell than critics expected.

“He faced slings and arrows, he’s a patriot,” Trump said.

Despite Musk’s exit, both claimed DOGE will continue its mission.

DOGE aims to cut federal waste and fraud aggressively.

Musk vowed to hit $1 trillion in cuts by next year.

He praised the Oval Office’s remodel, saying, “I love the gold.”

As Musk exits, Trump is turning his attention to global affairs.

Recently, Trump has taken an unexpected hardline stance against Vladimir Putin.

He accused Putin of going “absolutely crazy” and killing innocents.

Trump warned that Russia would be worse off without him.

His remarks suggest a shift from past deference to Putin.

Still, Trump called Ukraine’s president Zelenskyy “stubborn” in recent comments.

His messaging on Russia and Ukraine remains mixed and controversial.

Many Republicans are split on how to handle the Ukraine conflict.

Trump’s “America First” supporters are wary of more foreign aid.

Yet some Republicans want Trump to act decisively on sanctions.

Senator Chuck Grassley urged strong action, like Trump’s Harvard criticisms.

Former U.S. Ambassador McFaul called for tougher pressure on Putin.

He suggested seizing Russian assets and blocking oil fleet operations.

Such steps, McFaul said, could force Putin to negotiate peace.

Trump has tools at his disposal — the question is: will he act?

Meanwhile, another political storm is brewing inside Congress.

A new House budget bill includes a controversial legal provision.

The provision restricts federal judges from holding violators in contempt.

It limits enforcement unless plaintiffs post bonds for legal action.

Critics say it weakens judicial authority to enforce court orders.

Supporters argue it reins in activist judges opposing conservative policies.

Supreme Court reporter Lawrence Hurley says Senate approval isn’t guaranteed.

Budget rules could block the provision from making final law.

Still, the bill reflects broader Republican pushback against the judiciary.

Trump’s week was filled with dramatic announcements and political turbulence.

His next steps on Russia and domestic reform remain uncertain.

More updates are expected in Sunday interviews with top lawmakers.

House Speaker Mike Johnson and Sen. Raphael Warnock will speak.
