Jose Mourinho signs Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Manchester United
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to be announced as Manchester United’s first signing of the Jose Mourinho era in the next 48 hours, according to reports.
Jose Mourinho is said to be determined to make free agent Zlatan Ibrahimovic his first signing as Manchester United manager.
Mourinho, who is expected to be named as Louis van Gaal’s successor within the next 48 hours, is targeting the Sweden international after he decided to leave Paris-Saint Germain at the end of the season.
The enigmatic 34-year-old is an ideal candidate for Manchester United as Ed Woodward sets his sights on a marquee signing to kick-start the Mourinho era, and the Daily Mail claim that Ibrahimovic is keen to work with his old Inter Milan coach.
Despite being a free agent however, it is believed that Ibrahimovic will still demand an £8million singing-on fee alongside his weekly salary of more than £200,000 a week.
Ibrahimovic played his last game for Paris Saint-Germain last weekend and is available on a free transfer.
The volatile Swede has had run-ins with numerous former managers in the past but he’s gone on record to express his admiration for Mourinho – who he played under at Inter Milan.

Ibrahimovic was unwilling to join the Red Devils while Van Gaal was in charge but he wants to play in the Premier League before he retires and Mourinho wants him to lead United’s attack.
And, according to the Mirror, the club could announce the Swede’s arrival in the next 48 hours after he agreed a one-year deal to move to Old Trafford.
