Team WAZOBIA Youth wing holds maiden meeting in Imo state.

A non-partisan political organization known as Team WAZOBIA, Nigeria, youth wing, Imo state chapter has held its maiden meeting in Owerri, Imo state.

The meeting held in Rockview hotels Owerri on Tuesday 24th June, 2025 was attended by Youth leaders from the 27 LGAs of Imo state.

Addressing newsmen immediately after the meeting, the state youth leader of the group, Hon. Charles Akujuobi said
Team WAZOBIA is a structure that is built for the re-election of our president, Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

He thanked God, for what the president is doing for the country, the transformation agenda and others.

Stressing that, it is the reason they are supporting his re-election bid through the help of their BOT chairman, His Excellency, Chief Ikechukwu Ikenga.

“So, we have organized ourselves as a youth wing of Team WAZOBIA to support his agenda, which is for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Though Team WAZOBIA is a non-partisan organization, but we support the government in power,” he stated.

Akujuobi said President Tinubu has empowered the youths through the loans he offered to students.

Also, the formation of forest guard in order to checkmate the activities and
harassments that are causing insecurity in Nigeria.

Hon Johnson Opara, the Deputy Youth Leader of Imo State Team WAZOBIA, Nigeria said they are supporting the President because of the roads he is building, especially the Calabar to Lagos Highway, fight against corruption etcetera .

He noted that Tinubu has been doing much in Nigeria, when compared with past administrations.

“Yes, that’s why we are supporting him for a second time bid.”

Opara hinted that the structure is in all the local government areas of Imo state.

Adding that the structure is not only in the local government areas, but in the whole federation.

” We are connecting the youth wing as you can see, and the meeting have been on, different leaders from 27 LGAs are ready for the job,” he stated.

He said the youths are to mobilize to propagate the good work our president is doing.

Opara explained that though nobody is giving them money but they
are trying to make sure that people understand what the president is doing.

According to him, propaganda is much
in Nigeria and some people cannot read .

He said though social media influence is trying to divert attention but what they are doing today is to tell people what the President is doing, adding that he’s doing well.

Comrade Ekenachi Godwin, the Orlu Zonal youth leader under the Team WAZOBIA said though Team WAZOBIA is not partisan but they support the government of the day.

And that as long as the government is doing well, they will always support the moving train.

According to him there are so many things the government is doing.

“For instance, at least some of my colleagues who had already gotten
CAC certificates for the past years but were dumped, have been revived by the President.

“Through the bank of industry, loans are being given to us, even as I’m talking to you, i’m still processing mine that will be ready in few weeks time or month.

“To invest in any business of our choice that we are interested in,” he stated.

The zonal youth leader said he studied Hospitality and Tourism Management and could not get a job but with the loan, his little kiosk where he sells food will turn to big business.

He said, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma’ s antecedents is what keeps him moving forward, adding that he cannot deviate from his
goals or support another person.

“I should support the government that has done well in Nigeria .

” That repaired abandoned roads, and created new roads.

“Governor Hope Uzodinma is
a roadmaster.

“Nobody will say that he’s not doing well. So these are the antecedents that make me say, yes, I want to support”, he stated.
