Guaranty Trust Bank Ltd. (GTBank) has announced that all its branches across Nigeria will close earlier than usual on Monday, June 30, 2025, due to an internal half-year financial audit.

The notice was contained in a message sent to customers via email on Saturday, June 28.

The bank explained that the early closure will allow its teams to conduct their scheduled mid-year audit activities, in line with regulatory and internal compliance procedures.

“Please be informed that our branches nationwide will close to customers early on Monday, June 30, 2025, for our half-year audit,” the official statement from the bank read.

As part of the temporary change in operating hours, GTBank clarified that branches in different regions will close at different times:

Upcountry branches will close by 2:00 PM

Lagos branches will close by 3:00 PM

Customers Advised to Use Digital Channels

GTBank urged customers to make use of its alternative digital banking platforms, including mobile banking apps, internet banking, ATMs, and USSD services, to carry out transactions during the period of early closure.

“You can continue to access our services through our digital channels, which remain available 24/7,” the bank added.

GTBank also assured its customers that normal banking operations will resume across all branches on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, and expressed appreciation for the understanding and continued loyalty of its customers.
