Seven people have been killed after terror bandits launched a deadly attack in Jangebe town, Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Diaspora Digital Media understand that five Community Protection Guard (CPG) members and two civilians were victims of the assault.

According to security sources, the unfortunate incident unfolded on Friday afternoon when five CPG operatives, including their Unit Commander, were assisting with farming activities on the outskirts of the village.

The attackers reportedly ambushed the group as they worked on the farm, gunning down all five CPG personnel.

Two civilians—a man and a woman—working on a nearby farm were also killed during the onslaught.

The assailants made away with two pump-action rifles belonging to the slain guards.
