President Bola Tinubu has said more PDP governors and opposition leaders will join the APC, citing the party’s growing momentum.

Speaking at the 14th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the APC held at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja, Tinubu revealed that the party’s national convention was postponed to December in anticipation of these new entrants.

The President urged party leaders to welcome new members with open arms, emphasizing the importance of inclusion and integration.

He proposed forming a committee to coordinate the registration and participation of new members.

Also, the party unanimously elected Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda as its new National Chairman, replacing Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.

Tinubu highlighted the country’s economic progress under his administration, citing a 43% improvement in revenue performance.

He stressed the need for peace and stability to drive further growth.

The President tasked APC governors to collaborate with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to secure land for a new APC secretariat, aiming to leave a lasting legacy of development.
