Protesting youths under the umbrella of Adamawa Youths unemployed workers matched to the state Assembly today and protested against the behaviour of the

management of Triacta Construction Company for marginalising them for menial jobs.

The leaders of the group, Mohammad Abubakar said that they succumbed to the call some time ago by the Chief of Staff of the state, Abdulraham Abba Jimeta that the present regime is geared toward providing job for the thousands unemployed youths in the state.

According to Mohammad they adhered to the call when Abdulraham said many company are on ground to employ our Youths.

“On assumption of this Government, Abdulraham assured us that Job is going to be available because they will embark on so many construction projects.

“Triacta Construction Company has been on ground and many of us have being hanging around to be given the menial jobs but they neglect us and hire people from other neighbouring states,” Mohammad said.

He further said that they matched to the state assembly complex to see the speaker who they believe is going to fight for their struggle as he is a youth like them.

The youths numbered in hundreds holding placards with various inscriptions: “We don’t want Triacta construction company”, “We say no to Triacta in our state”, “Triacta don’t want the youths of this state”, etc.

Triacta, which at the moment is constructing roads in Jimeta and Yola the major towns in Adamawa state, could not give tentative reasons on why they failed to employ the youths, as all efforts to get a response from any of their agents failed.
