DELTA, Nigeria – Renewed calls for unity have emerged within the African Democratic Congress in Delta State following a major breakthrough in internal reconciliation efforts.

The development comes after the successful conclusion of the Aniocha-Oshimili Strategic Retreat held at Elomaz Hotel in Asaba over the weekend.

Reports from the retreat indicate that significant progress has been made in bridging longstanding communication gaps between the Chief Ogboru group and ADC legacy members.

Stakeholders described the outcome as a move toward a fully integrated and unified party structure ahead of the forthcoming State Congress.

It was collectively agreed that an immediate cessation of media hostilities between the groups is critical to fostering peace and mutual understanding.

The proposed meeting is expected to harmonise positions and align interests before the congress.

The reconciliation process is in line with a framework established by the party’s national leadership to unify all factions.

Media aides to Kenneth Gbandi stated that unity within the party is not just desirable but strategically necessary for its growth and relevance.
