AFCON 2024: Super Eagles defeat Cameroon to reach quarterfinals

In the ongoing AFCON 2023, the Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon 2-0 to go to the quarterfinals.

Ademola Lookman gave Nigeria a historic victory over the Indomitable Lions with two goals in each half.

After breaking away, Victor Osimhen passed the ball to Lookman, who let his poor finish slip past the finish line.

As the clock was running out, Lookman pressed Calvin Bassey’s cross home.

The team led by Jose Peseiro will now play Angola in the competition quarterfinals.

Angola defeated Namibia 3-0 earlier in the day in their round of 16 match.
