APC in panic mode: Adeleke fires back over defection claims
DDM News

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has denied negotiating to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that he described the claim as false and a product of the APC’s imagination.
Adeleke’s response was contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Olawale Rasheed.
The governor stated that at no point did he consider leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He emphasized that the APC’s defection claim is baseless and lacks any factual support.
According to him, his victory in 2022 and achievements since then prove his political strength.
He stressed that with his performance, there’s no reason to seek relevance through defection.
Adeleke noted he has not attended any meeting where defection was discussed.
He said such an idea has never crossed his mind and never will.
The governor insisted he has achieved more in three years than the APC did in twelve.
He maintained that the people of Osun State overwhelmingly support his administration.
Recent endorsements from workers on May Day prove his popularity, he said.
He said the APC is unsettled by his growing support across the state.
Adeleke accused the APC of trying to distract the public from its internal crises.
He claimed the party is dealing with leadership issues and loss of public trust.
He added that even APC members are now exposing the party’s secrets.
Adeleke said his focus remains on delivering good governance and development.
He described himself as a patriot working to maintain peace and order in Osun.
His administration, he said, will not be derailed by desperate political propaganda.
Adeleke reaffirmed his loyalty to the PDP as the platform for Osun’s progress.
