APC mocks opposition plot, declares Tinubu unshaken
DDM News

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed fears over the ongoing coalition talks among opposition leaders.
Felix Morka, APC’s National Publicity Secretary, said the ruling party sees no threat in the recent political alliances, Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathers.
He made these comments in an interview with News Central amid renewed efforts by opposition figures to unite.
Reports had emerged of talks between Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and Professor Pat Utomi to form a political front.
But Morka brushed off the development, describing it as a recycled and ineffective move that has failed before.
“Utomi has always created systems and coalitions that never materialize,” Morka stated during the interview.
He pointed out that similar attempts before the 2023 elections made no difference in the final outcome.
“Tinubu won that election, and we’re almost two years into his presidency,” Morka said confidently.
He emphasized that the APC is not intimidated or shaken by the latest opposition maneuvers.
According to Morka, the party will not stay silent while false and misleading statements are being spread.
He said it is undemocratic to expect the APC to ignore divisive rhetoric from the opposition.
“Our response is not panic; it’s a democratic right,” Morka insisted.
He stated that the APC has every right to counter propaganda with facts and clarity.
On Professor Utomi’s formation of a shadow cabinet, Morka again waved off the move as unserious.
“In many countries, such a move would cause alarm,” he said.
“But here in Nigeria, Utomi named his shadow government and life continued,” Morka added.
He argued that this freedom reflects the strength of Nigeria’s democracy under President Tinubu.
“No one stopped Utomi from expressing himself or creating any structure,” he noted.
Morka stressed that Tinubu remains focused on his duties and unbothered by political distractions.
He said the APC will not be derailed by noisy but empty opposition tactics.
The party, he said, is committed to governance, not political games.
He warned that misinformation from the opposition will be challenged head-on.
“Democracy is active, and so are we,” Morka concluded.
The APC remains firm in its belief that it has the people’s mandate and national focus.
Opposition coalition talks, no matter how loud, will not change the current democratic reality, the party believes.
As 2027 approaches, the ruling party projects confidence and continuity under Tinubu’s leadership.
Despite political noise, the APC says it remains unshaken and fully in control.
