See pages 30 and 31 of today’s Nation Newspaper for the details of money left by Mr. Peter Obi for Chief Willie Obiano.

The two-page publication signed by Mr. Joe-Martins Uzodike, contain all the money, banks and account numbers where the money were lodged.

Joe-Martins challenged Obiano to publish the list of contractors they claim Obi owed before leaving office.

See the details of the publication, including the preamble.

DETAILS OF CASH/INVESTMENTS LEFT BY MR. PETER OBI

I was the Commissioner for Information under Mr. Peter Obi and the Director General of Willie Obiano Gubernatorial Campaign. I know everything that existed between Mr. Peter Obi and Chief Willie Obiano from the onset. I was part of those that assembled the materials that eventually crystallised into a handover note.

I was privileged to know the incredible sacrifice by Obi to Make Chief Obiano, a man who was neither in politics nor contesting for any political position, the Governor of Anambra State.

I served under the Government of Chief Willie Obiano as a Special Adviser, until I was asked to leave for insisting that he should not quarrel with Mr. Peter Obi.

I have been involved in the politics of the old Anambra State and served under the Government of Chief Jim Nwobodo as an SA on Students and Religious Affairs.

Then, I led the delegation that met severally with Francis Cardinal Arinze (then Archbishop of Onitsha) on modalities to return schools to the Church. This was one of the reasons I supported Mr. Peter Obi in his heroic return of schools to their owners.

I was the foundation Director of Publicity and Research and later the Deputy Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State.

Though I was neither originally a supporter of Mr. Peter Obi, nor a member of his party, but by a stroke of fate, I came to know him and joined his Government as a Commissioner. Opportuned to observe him at close range, I can tell you that rarely would one see a person as committed to the progress of Nigeria as he is.

His preoccupation at all times is how to build a better society for our children. As the Governor of Anambra State, he always wanted to know the progress of projects that would add value to the society. In my Ministry, for example, he always wanted to know why we would not have libraries in all the schools in Anambra State and he applied himself becomingly to that.

Like all well-meaning Nigerians, I was appalled by the crass display of ingratitude towards Mr. Peter Obi by Governor Willie Obiano as I have not witnessed until now and probably none of you have witnessed. In this light, I thank the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi that included in their Synod Paper, the call on Gov. Obiano to reconcile with those that helped him politically.

The debate today, started by Obiano, as to what Obi bequeathed or did not bequeath to him or whether Obi owed contractors or not is surprising.

Coming after he spent hundreds of millions of Naira to sponsor the production of two dirty documentaries on Obi and the perpetuation of several other acts that defy reason, one is constrained to state as follows:

That Obi did not owe any debt in the form of pension, salary or gratuity before he handed over to him.

That Obi did not owe any contractor on certificate generated on work completed as at the day he left office.

We challenge Gov. Obiano to publish the names of contractors being owned as at March 17th, 2014.

That Obi handed comprehensive notes to Obiano, including certified bank statements of accounts of the State to warrant confusion on what was actually handed over.

Therefore, find below, the savings, cash and investment, Obi handed over on the 17th of March, 2014, what their value were then and what they are now.
