Model Barbara Palvin and actor Dylan Sprouse have officially become parents, welcoming their first child together nearly three years after getting married.
The couple announced the arrival of their baby girl on September 28, sharing a family photo on Instagram that showed them wearing Los Angeles Dodgers jerseys while watching the team’s game against the San Francisco Giants.
Although they did not publicly reveal their daughter’s exact birth date in the announcement, their caption appeared to offer a playful clue.
“We took Labor Day literally this year,” the couple wrote.
Reports indicate that their daughter was born on September 7, making the Labor Day reference a nod to the timing of her arrival.
The birth comes about four months after Palvin and Sprouse publicly announced that they were expecting their first child.
The couple first revealed the pregnancy in May, when Palvin debuted her growing baby bump during the Cannes Film Festival. They shared photographs from the event, with the model appearing alongside her husband as they celebrated the beginning of a new chapter in their relationship.
By July, the couple had revealed that they were expecting a daughter.
Sprouse, best known for his role in Disney Channel’s “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” spoke excitedly about becoming a father during an episode of his “Wildmen” podcast. He said he was particularly looking forward to becoming a girl dad and revealed that he and Palvin had been affectionately calling their unborn daughter “principessa,” the Italian word for princess.
“I’m excited to be a girl dad, actually,” Sprouse said, adding jokingly that he also liked the idea of having tea parties with his daughter.
Palvin, meanwhile, was candid about the less glamorous side of pregnancy.
The Victoria’s Secret model admitted that pregnancy had been more physically and emotionally challenging than she initially expected. She explained that she sometimes felt guilty because she was not enjoying the experience as much as she believed other women did.
She also opened up about the changes to her body, including rapid weight gain and changes in the way her clothes fitted.
Palvin said seeing the changes initially caused her to spiral emotionally, particularly because her stomach began changing before she had what she considered a traditional pregnancy bump.
However, she also credited Sprouse with helping her maintain perspective throughout the pregnancy.
“This is when it’s important that you have a good partner,” she said, explaining that Sprouse repeatedly reminded her that they were creating a life together.
The pregnancy came less than a year after Palvin underwent surgery for endometriosis, making the announcement an especially significant moment in her personal journey.
Sprouse and Palvin’s relationship began several years before their marriage. The pair first met in 2017 and eventually reconnected after Sprouse reportedly made the first move by sending Palvin a direct message.
Their relationship developed publicly over the following years, with the couple eventually getting engaged and marrying in Hungary in July 2023.
The arrival of their daughter now marks another major milestone in their relationship.
Sprouse’s twin brother, Cole Sprouse, had also previously spoken about becoming an uncle. During a June interview with CBS Mornings, Cole joked that he intended to be an “annoying brother” and revealed that he already enjoyed giving his godchildren gifts such as swords and drum kits.
Barbara Palvin has built an international modelling career, including her work with Victoria’s Secret, while Dylan Sprouse has continued working in acting and other creative ventures after rising to fame as a child alongside his twin brother.
For the couple, however, the latest announcement is less about their careers and more about their growing family.
Their daughter’s arrival also places them among a long list of celebrities who have welcomed babies in 2026, including Taylor Lautner and Tay Lautner, Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi, Lena Dunham and Luis Felber, and Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky.
With their first child now here, Palvin and Sprouse are beginning a new chapter away from the red carpets and cameras, this time as parents to their baby girl.
