(DDM) – The tension-filled Big Brother Naija Season 10 grand finale took an emotional twist on Sunday night as fan-favorite Sultana was evicted from the house, becoming the sixth and last finalist to leave before the official announcement of the season’s winner.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that Sultana’s eviction stunned fans both in Nigeria and across Africa, especially those who had followed her dramatic yet inspiring journey since the show’s launch earlier this year.

Sultana, known for her sharp wit, unfiltered honesty, and passionate storytelling, had built a strong fanbase that believed she would make it to the top three.

Her eviction drew mixed reactions online, with hashtags like #JusticeForSultana and #BBNaijaFinale trending within minutes of the announcement.

With her exit, only three housemates, Imisi, Koyin, and Dede, remain in contention for the ₦80 million grand prize.

Koyin now stands as the only male finalist, making him both the first and last man to reach the final stage of this year’s competition, a feat that has ignited widespread debate about gender balance in this season’s voting trends.

The finale, anchored by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, is being broadcast live across Africa, featuring electrifying performances by music stars Adekunle Gold and Iyanya, who delivered back-to-back hits that kept the audience roaring.

The atmosphere in the live studio audience was charged, as friends, family, and celebrity guests waited anxiously to see who would emerge as the ultimate winner of BBNaija Season 10.

Sultana’s journey on the show was marked by resilience, emotional intelligence, and boldness.

Supporters have flooded social media with messages of encouragement, tagging him the “last man standing” and calling for votes to secure his win.

Meanwhile, Dede and Imisi have each maintained strong emotional connections with viewers, earning massive support bases through consistent displays of creativity, empathy, and strategic gameplay.

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has confirmed it will sanction social media influencers Martins Vincent Otse (VeryDarkMan) and Freedom Atsepoyi (Mr Jollof).

The decision follows a physical altercation between the two men aboard a United Nigeria Airlines flight from Asaba to Lagos on Monday.

In a post on X, Michael Achimugu, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at NCAA, described the incident as “unacceptable behaviour” and highlighted the danger it posed to passengers and crew.

“There is no tolerance for unruly behaviour aboard an aircraft. Both individuals will face the full strength of the law,” he warned.

He added:

“It is even more shameful when one considers both of them are partners in educating their millions of followers to avoid unruly behaviour.”

The NCAA spokesperson urged the airline to report the incident officially, emphasizing the risk to passenger safety, crew, and the aircraft itself.

“The NCAA has exerted a lot of energy and resources educating passengers about the dangers of unruly behaviour. In this case, no excuse makes it acceptable,” Achimugu stressed.

According to reports, the fight was the result of an online feud between the influencers that escalated into a physical confrontation inside the cabin. Passengers and crew intervened to calm the situation.

Following the incident, VeryDarkMan posted a video on his Facebook page claiming responsibility for confronting Mr Jollof:

“I don chop Jollof father for inside the plane. He bite me, man wey de bite,” he wrote.

The NCAA confirmed it is awaiting detailed reports from the airline and flight crew. A full statement will follow once the facts are verified.

American rapper Onika Maraj-Petty, widely known as Nicki Minaj, will speak at a United Nations event in New York on Tuesday.

She is expected to address fresh allegations of jihadist attacks on Christian communities in Nigeria.

The event will feature US Ambassador to the UN, Michael Waltz, and Alex Bruesewitz, a senior adviser to President Donald Trump.

Bruesewitz is also the main convener of the programme.

The development first surfaced through Eric Cortellessa, a senior political correspondent with Time Magazine.

He confirmed it on his X handle late Sunday.

Ambassador Waltz praised Minaj.

He described her as “not only arguably the greatest female recording artist, but also a principled individual who refuses to remain silent in the face of injustice.”

He thanked the rapper for using her global platform to highlight what he called “the atrocities against Christians in Nigeria.”

Minaj responded with gratitude.

She said she valued the opportunity and did not take the responsibility lightly.

According to her, she would “never stand down in the face of injustice,” stressing that her influence carried a greater purpose.

The planned appearance follows President Trump’s recent claim that a “Christian genocide” is taking place in Nigeria.

His administration has already redesignated Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern.

He also urged the US Congress to take immediate action.

Minaj applauded Trump for speaking out on the issue.

However, the Nigerian Federal Government has strongly dismissed the allegations.

It insists that insecurity in the country is driven by crime, banditry, and economic factors, not religion.

Despite the government’s position, several US officials continue to express concern.

Grammy-winning Nigerian star Burna Boy has sparked fresh controversy after ejecting a couple from his Denver, United States concert for allegedly sleeping during his performance.

The incident happened midway through his show on Wednesday night when the self-styled African Giant paused his set and called out the pair sitting near the front of the stage.

Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, expressed visible anger as he addressed the man in the crowd.

“When I stand up here and see you over there with your girl sleeping in front of me, it pisses me off,” he said. “Please, take her home. I’m not performing another song till you go home.”

The female fan initially appeared reluctant to leave, but the crowd joined the singer in urging the couple to exit.

They eventually walked out, and Burna Boy resumed his performance to loud cheers from the audience.

The moment quickly went viral online, with mixed reactions from fans.

While some supported Burna Boy’s decision, others criticized him for being disrespectful to paying concertgoers.

Critics argued that a fan’s fatigue should not warrant public embarrassment, especially after spending money on tickets.

Supporters, however, defended Burna Boy, claiming the couple’s behavior was disrespectful to the artist and his effort on stage.

This isn’t the first time Burna Boy has clashed with fans during live shows.

In the past, he reportedly removed a fan from his concert for standing still during a song, and once ejected another who ran onto the stage to hug him.

Known for his fiery temper and bold personality, Burna Boy’s stage antics have often sparked debate over his relationship with fans and his expectations of audience participation.
Despite the controversy, the singer continues his U.S. tour, attracting thousands of fans to his sold-out concerts across major cities.
