Breaking: Gov Wike Pays Solidarity Visit To Gov Samuel Ortom

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has paid a solidarity visit  to Benue State’s Governor Ortom following the mayhem unleashed by Fulani herdsmen.

The Governor of Rivers State, Mr Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has, on Wednesday, paid a solidarity visit  to the Benue State governor, Mr Samuel Ortom following the mayhem unleashed by Fulani herdsmen.

Elombah.com gathered that Governor Wike visited to commiserate with Governor Ortom and the people of the state over the killings.

The mayhem saw the gruesome murder of 73 persons earlier this year by the bandits.

Governor Wike, Governor Ortom and others were seen together at the burial ground as they offered prayers at the graves of the deceased.

It could be recalled that the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Jimoh Moshood had called Governor Ortom a “drowning man” during a heated argument with the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Terver Akase.

The duo had argued over the series of violence that has left many dead since the beginning of the year.

In a motion is sponsored by Rep. Mark Gbillah, the Lawmakers considered a motion demanding his immediate removal for such derogatory remarks.

Not done with that, they have also ordered IGP Idris to provide an unreserved apology to Governor Ortom.
