Some staff of Dangote Cement factory were on Monday evening abducted when gunmen suspected to be bandits launched vicious attack on their staff bus in Kogi State.
The workers, according to Peoples Gazette were returning from work when they were ambushed by the criminal elements at Okpella, a town near Okene.
Though, it is unclear how many people were wounded during the Monday evening attack.
“Other people are in the bush. My colleague has bullet wounds. A coaster bus filled with staff was attacked at Okpella. Kidnappers,” a witness said.
“They kidnapped our whole staff bus. Kidnappers took our staff.”
Meanwhile, Mr Michael Odofin, the image maker of Okpella Cement Plc, confirmed the attack and abduction.
He said, “I cannot give any details right now. The attack is still fresh. We have no one killed”.
Meanwhile, police authorities in Kogi State are yet to issue a statement in respect to the ugly development.
