Club coach’s manager motivates players with $67 cash gift to save client’s job in Aba, Nigeria’s sports city

Embattled Kabir Suleiman Dogo of Kwara United Football Club, in Nigeria, has his manager looking out for him this evening as his team takes on Abia Warrior in the resumed Nigerian Premier Football League, NPFL.
Mr Mojeed Ibrahim, manager to Dogo has promised cash price of N100, 000 (about $67) to the players if they manage to defeat the home team at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, south eastern Nigerian commercial and sports hub.
Kwara United are long way from their Ilorin, North Central Nigeria.
Currently 16 position on the log, five steps bellow their Abia Warrior host, the Kwara team sees the match as a must win to save the job Dogo, whose technical savvy has come under question lately.
His technical bench was boosted recently with the inclusion of a highly experienced Tunde Sani, poached by the Kwara club from Abia Warriors.
But Ibrahim, the Director of Greenboi Concept, sees a silver lining somewhere.
He made the announcement of the cash gift on a sports reporters whatsapp platform this afternoon back in Ilorin.
Kwara United and Abia Warriors are both Nigerian football clubs that compete in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
Kwara United is based in Ilorin, Kwara State, while Abia Warriors is based in Umuahia, Abia State.
Both clubs have a passionate fan base and have had varying levels of success in the NPFL. Kwara United won the NPFL title in 2007, while Abia Warriors finished as runners-up in the 2014 season.
Going into the match, both parade unimpressive last five games record.
