The Nigerian National Coalition Group (NNCG) has formally applied to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the registration of a new political party.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that the proposed political platform is to be known as the All Democratic Alliance (ADA), with the slogan “Justice for All.”

The application, signed by Chief Akin A. Rickets, Protem National Chairman of the NNCG, was dated June 19, 2025, and officially received by INEC on June 20, 2025.

In the letter submitted to the electoral commission, the group cited its collective resolution to sponsor the registration of the ADA as a new political party in Nigeria.

The coalition noted that the move aligns with constitutional provisions and existing electoral laws governing political associations in the country.

According to the letter, “We respectfully write to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, requesting the registration of our association, the All Democratic Alliance, ADA, as a political party.”

It further explained that the decision was taken by the umbrella organization, the Nigerian National Coalition Group, to fully sponsor the ADA’s registration into the national political space.

The application highlights that the party’s acronym will be ADA, and its guiding slogan, “Justice for All,” reflects its commitment to fairness and inclusion.

The party’s National Secretariat address is provided at the bottom of the association’s official letterhead used in the application.

Also enclosed in the submission is a detailed description of the party’s logo, explaining the significance of its colours and the image of corn (maize), which symbolizes nourishment, growth, and sustainability.

The party also included its manifesto, outlining the ideology, objectives, and policy positions of the ADA.

The application is further supported by a comprehensive constitution, which details the party’s organizational structure, governance model, and internal regulations.

The submission references Section 40 and Section 222 of the Nigerian Constitution, along with Section 75 of the Electoral Act, 2022, to affirm the legality and legitimacy of the application.

The letter states, “Our constitution provides the legal framework that defines our identity, structures, and organization, regulates our affairs, and guides our actions in alignment with global democratic principles and objectives.”

In addition to the above, the NNCG submitted the party’s flag, meeting minutes, and all relevant documents required for consideration by INEC.

Chief Akin A. Rickets, in concluding the letter, expressed confidence in INEC’s willingness to advance the registration process.

He wrote, “While we eagerly await further action from the commission on the next step forward towards attaining our desired goal, please accept the consideration of our highest respect.”

If approved, the ADA will become one of Nigeria’s officially recognized political parties eligible to participate in elections at all levels.

The emergence of the ADA reflects a growing interest in new political alternatives in Nigeria’s evolving democratic space.

Analysts suggest that new parties like the ADA may resonate with citizens seeking justice-driven, inclusive, and people-centered governance.

DDM will continue to track developments and provide updates on INEC’s response to the ADA’s registration bid.
