Tragedy struck in Latina, Italy, on Monday night when 27-year-old Nigerian woman Patricia Masithela was fatally attacked by a pack of starving dogs at an abandoned villa in the Lazio region.

According to reports, Patricia was visiting a male acquaintance at the villa, unaware that he was not present.

Her screams during the attack alerted neighbors, who found her critically injured and lying in a pool of blood with severe wounds across her body.

Police intervened by shooting two of the dogs to enable emergency responders to reach Patricia, while the remaining dogs fled after the gunfire.

Despite being rushed to Santa Maria Goretti Hospital, Patricia succumbed to her injuries due to severe blood loss.

Patricia, who had recently moved to Lazio from Nigeria, was a devoted mother to a five-year-old daughter.

Her tragic death has left family and friends devastated.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the presence of the starving dogs in the area.
