Ekiti Chief Judge, Oyewole Adeyeye is dead

The Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye has died after a brief illness.

Justice Oyewole, according to sources died on Monday.

He was appointed by former Governor Kayode Fayemi and officially sworn in on October 11, 2021.

He was born in 1960 and was widely respected for his dedication to the principles of fairness, equity, and justice throughout his career.

In a statement announcing his death, Chief Registrar of the Ekiti State Judiciary, Adegoke Olanike, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the esteemed jurist.

The statement, signed by the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Oba Olayiwola Michael, highlighted Justice Adeyeye’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and his significant contributions to the judicial system in Ekiti State.

“His contribution to the development of the judiciary and Ekiti State at large are immeasurable and his legacy will be deeply missed. Further details will be announced in due course”, the statement added.
