The political atmosphere in Rivers State remains tense after the Supreme Court’s recent verdict on governance disputes.

In light of the increasing tensions that have recently developed within the state’s leadership, Emilia Amadi, who serves as the representative for Obio/Akpor Constituency 2, has issued an earnest appeal for reconciliation.

She emphasized the importance of resolving differences through dialogue and understanding, encouraging all involved parties to come together to find common ground.

Her call aims to foster unity and stability within the political landscape, ensuring that the governance of the state remains effective and focused on the well-being of its citizens during these challenging times.

Speaking on TVC News, she urged stakeholders to allow Governor Siminalayi Fubara another opportunity to present the state’s budget.

According to Diaspora digital media (DDM), her appeal followed the 48-hour ultimatum issued by the state assembly for the governor to resubmit the budget.

“I want to plead as a mother; we will give them a second chance,” she stated during the interview.
