The gruesome incident that sent shockwaves through Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, where a deceased woman, whose lifeless body was discovered in a hotel, has been identified by her ex-husband.

Recall that DiasporaDigitalMedia reported the horrifying event on January 19, which involves a suspected ritual killer who reportedly took the woman to Happy Day Guest Inn, beheaded her, and clandestinely fled the scene with the severed head. The ex-husband, identified as Auwal Garba, confirmed to the Adamawa State Police Command that the victim, Bilkisu Idi, was his wife until last month. The tragic incident occurred on Thursday, January 18, at the Happy Day Guest Inn.

Information gathered by DiasporaDigitalMedia, Suleiman Nguroje, the Public Relations Officer for the Adamawa State Police Command affirmed that Auwal Garba voluntarily provided information about the deceased, revealing that Bilkisu was his wife of about six years. The marriage had produced a child, but Garba stated that he divorced her in December 2023.

In a chilling twist, Garba recounted that the deceased had called him on the fateful day, expressing a desire to speak to her child. However, he informed her that the child was with the grandmother, unaware of the horrific fate awaiting Bilkisu at the hands of an unknown assailant. The investigation into this shocking murder continues as authorities grapple with the disturbing details surrounding the case.
