Firebrand lawmaker Ugochinyere gets key post in Nigeria’s opposition bloc

Hon. Ikenga Ugochinyere, outspoken lawmaker critic and House of Reps member representing Ideato North South Federal Constituency of Imo State, has been chosen as the spokesperson for opposition lawmakers in the 10th National Assembly in Nigeria.
The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) appointed him according to them due to his previous outstanding performance as their spokesperson.
The letter from the CUPP charged Ugochinyere with reviving the voice of the opposition in parliament, highlighting his role in representing the coalition of opposition parties.
Ugochinyere expressed his honor at being chosen and emphasized the importance of opposition lawmakers in questioning government actions for the benefit of the people.
He pledged to work towards scrutinizing government policies and actions to address issues such as under-development, economic hardship, inflation, unemployment, and other challenges faced by citizens.
Ugochinyere and his colleagues in the opposition aim to end impunity, advance democracy, and contribute to the development of the nation.
