Hajia Hauwa Jega, mother of former INEC Chairman, and ex-Vice Chancellor, Bayero University, Kano, Professor Muhammad Attahiru Jega is dead.
She died on Friday night in Abuja after a brief illness.
According to a family source, the funeral prayer for Hauwa will take place at the National Mosque in Abuja this Saturday at 1:30pm.
Her burial is scheduled to follow immediately after the prayers at Gudu Cemetery, Abuja.
Hauwa leaves behind a large family, including several children and grandchildren, such as renowned journalist and syndicated columnist, Mahmud Jega, and former AMCON Executive Director, Abbas Jega, among others.
