Former West Brom forward, Ideye, joins Eyimba FC of Nigeria

In a major coup for Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) giants Enyimba FC, the club has announced the signing of former Super Eagles striker and Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) winner, Brown Ideye.
The 34-year-old Ideye, who has had a storied career playing for top-tier clubs in Europe, brings a wealth of experience and goal-scoring prowess to the Aba-based club.
Ideye’s impressive resume includes stints with Ocean Boys (Nigeria), Neuchâtel Xamax (Switzerland), Sochaux (France), Dynamo Kyiv (Ukraine), West Bromwich Albion (England), Olympiacos (Greece), Tianjin Teda (China), Aris Thessaloniki (Greece), and Göztepe (Turkey).

Ideye starring for the Super Eagles of Nigeria
At the international level, Ideye earned 28 caps for the Super Eagles, scoring 6 goals.
He was a key member of the Nigerian team that won the 2013 AFCON in South Africa, scoring crucial goals in the tournament.
Ideye also represented Nigeria at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Enyimba FC Chairman, Felix Anyansi-Agwu, expressed his delight at Ideye’s signing, saying: “We are thrilled to have Brown Ideye join our team. His experience and goal-scoring ability will be a huge asset to us as we challenge for honors in the NPFL and continental competitions.”
