Gentle Yahoo: Uzodinma goon’s confession exonerated us —IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has celebrated the recent confession by a “notorious provocateur named Gentle Yahoo”, who the group alleged was recruited by Governor Hope Uzodinma, “the self-proclaimed Governor of Imo State”, to frame it, the Eastern Security Network (ESN) and their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

The Media and Publicity Secretary for IPOB, Comrade Emma Powerful, made the allegation in a statement, citing a video where Gentle Yahoo made the confession.

According to Comrade Powerful, the suspect claimed that Governor Uzodinma “hired them to kidnap and steal cars in Igboland”.

He further alleged that the governor orchestrated the insecurity and criminal activities in Imo State and its neighboring communities in Anambra State.

“His admission reaffirmed the legitimacy of IPOB and ESN as well as the IPOB leader and its leadership,” Powerful said.

The IPOB spokesman recounted how, through various press releases and broadcasts on Biafra radio, consistently indicted Uzodinma.

He alleged that the Imo State governor and his associates are responsible for the kidnappings, arsons and assassinations, as well as other criminal activities in the state and South East.

Powerful stated: “Uzodinma and his inept associates are responsible for the kidnappings, arsons, assassinations, and all criminal activities occurring in Imo State and Alaigbo in general.

“He conspired with Nyeson Wike and the APC-led Federal Government of Nigeria to finance the abduction of our leader and enlisted criminals who called themselves Autopilot.

“[They] were employed to intimidate Ndigbo under the guise of Biafra agitation and Biafra Liberation Army, intending to attribute their violent actions to IPOB and ESN.

“The infamous video of Gentle Yahoo, a key figure in the notorious Biafra liberation army and a known criminal, has revealed their plot.

“He chose to reveal the secret because the very government that enlisted them had murdered his younger and recent elder brother, and they are now pursuing him to end his own life.

“The offender Gentle Yahoo is among those who attacked and devastated Orsu Community in Imo State.

“He admitted that their gang met with Governor Hope Uzodinma, who informed them to eliminate his political adversaries and opponents in Imo state for assassination.

“Criminal Gentle Yahoo claimed that Hope Uzodinma is a vampire who has been responsible for the insecurity, kidnappings for ransom, assassinations, and numerous crimes that have plagued Imo State for nearly 7 years.

“He asserted that Hope Uzodinma intended to provide them with his personal approach to advocating for Biafra.

“That approach aimed to disrupt the South East Region while proclaiming Biafra and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“It was a secret mission to connect Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB to their violent offenses.

“The viral video clarified more effectively than the overstatements of certain individuals regarding the insecurity in Imo State and the border areas of Anambra State.”

Associating insecurity with IPOB and ESN

The IPOB Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, along with Mazi Chinasa Nworu, had previously reacted to insecurity issues.

Powerfu and Mazi Nworu made the revelations through press releases and Radio Biafra broadcasts.

They had insisted that the insecurity in the South East, especially in Imo State, was state-sponsored.

“[The claim was] confirmed by Gentle Yahoo and his criminal associates, yet some uninformed individuals refused to believe us.

“With a key figure in the insecurity admitting their role, we anticipate that Nigerian media and government should cease associating the insecurity with IPOB and ESN.

“The self-proclaimed Governor of Imo State has murdered numerous Igbo youths and his political rivals in Imo State.

“Every diligent resident of Imo should demand an inquiry into Governor Hope Uzodinma and his administration, along with the crimes perpetrated by his unlawful agents in Orsu Community and other areas in Imo State.

“Ndigbo must be aware of the events that occurred in Orsu “mother-valley” and surrounding areas in Anambra state,” Powerful added.

He, therefore, called out “the notorious group known as Odimma Orsu Initiative” to action.

He urged them to focus their efforts on the perpetrator-in-chief behind the events, “Uzodinma, along with his criminal associates in government”.

“Cease spreading fabricated lies, deceit, and coercion against this innocent IPOB and ESN Biafra movement,” he urged.
