(DDM) – The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has approved the appointment of several key officials and special advisers to strengthen governance and administrative efficiency in the state.
DDM learns that the appointments were announced in an official statement issued on March 23, 2026, by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Aburime.
According to the statement, the newly appointed officials will serve in various strategic capacities aimed at enhancing policy implementation and service delivery across government institutions.
Barrister Mrs. Ngozi Iwouno was appointed as the Head of Service, a critical role responsible for overseeing the state’s civil service structure and operations.
Barrister Joachin Peters Anetoh was named Principal Secretary to the Governor, a position that plays a central role in coordinating administrative processes within the governor’s office.
Dr. Ben Nwankwo has been appointed as Chief of Staff to the Governor, where he will be expected to manage executive coordination and policy alignment.
Professor Frank-Collins Okafor was designated as State Chief of Protocol, tasked with managing official engagements and state functions.
Barrister Tobechukwu Nweke, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, was appointed as Attorney-General of the State, placing him in charge of legal matters and justice administration.
Mr. Christian Aburime retains his position as Chief Press Secretary, continuing to oversee media relations and public communication for the government.
Dr. Vincent Egbuna Okechi has been appointed Deputy Chief of Staff, supporting the coordination of executive duties and government operations.
Ms. Ngozi Lucy Okoye was named Deputy State Chief of Protocol, assisting in the management of official ceremonies and diplomatic engagements.
Dr. Godwin Nnadozie has been appointed Special Adviser on Medicals and Pharmaceuticals, reflecting the administration’s focus on strengthening the healthcare sector.
Ms. Chinwe Okoli will serve as Special Adviser on Innovation and Business Incubation, while also acting as Chief Executive Officer of the Solution Innovation District.
Professor (Engr) Ebuka Nwankwo was appointed Special Adviser on Special Projects and Director of Project Evaluation and Monitoring, a role crucial for tracking government initiatives.
Mr. Ken Emeakayi has been named Special Adviser on Community Security, highlighting the administration’s commitment to improving grassroots safety and security.
The appointments are seen as part of Governor Soludo’s broader strategy to reposition the state’s governance structure and accelerate development initiatives.
