The United State Government led by President Donald Trump has threatened to revoke the legal status of 240,000 Ukrainian refugees that fled to the country in the outbreak of the war following the invasion by Russia in 2022.

President Trump made the threat late Wednesday, March 5, 2025, while speaking to White House correspondents.

The development comes barely a week after he sent Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky out of the Oval Office.

Trump, it could be recalled, had sent Zelensky packing following disagreements over cease-fire with Russia, as well as sundry matters.
